Atlanta, Georgia, October 19, 2015 — Flight Display Systems, a leader in Cabin Management, In‑flight Entertainment, and Special Mission video solutions, is pleased to announce a brand new 21.5″ Display built for military and special mission aviation. The new display, FD215CV-C-MPORT, is a rugged widescreen, high-definition LCD that supports multiple inputs. The latest FDS design minimizes life-cycle cost, enhances the display resolution (1080p) and increases situational awareness, while providing improved product reliability, obsolescence protection, and increased performance.
The FD215CV-C-MPORT utilizes a state of the art digital video decoding chipset for the analog video input. The customer can switch between five available input sources. They are: DVI, VGA (computer graphics i.e. moving maps), SDI, Composite, and S-Video (via BNC connectors for Y and C components).
The LCD is protected with a .060″ non-glare Lexan lens to prevent scratching of the LCD, and to meet stringent FAA abrasive load criteria.
